Did you know that on August 23rd, 2005 our city officials passed an ordinance requiring all youth, 15 years or younger, to wear a helmet while riding a bicycle?
But there's great news- if your child doesn't have a bike helmet and your family can't afford to buy one, Providence Hospital has provided the City of Anchorage with bicycle helmets.
Parents or legal guardians can stop by a designated distribution site for a FREE helmet for their children 15 years of age or younger. Your youngster will be fitted for their new helmet to ensure a proper fit.
